Associazione Flicorno d'Oro
The “Associazione Flicorno d’Oro” was set up on the initiative of a number of band music fans. The prime purpose was to institute a band competition named after the Association.
We consider that the competition can offer an important opportunity to hear quality music for those who, like us, want to attend. We also consider that it is an interesting occasion for the bands taking part.
The commitment required to prepare for the competition provides a chance for each band to improve its performance, and the competition is an event where bands can compare their experiences with those of others, meet fans of band music from different European countries, and form friendships.
The Association is non profit-making and is run entirely by volunteers. It is sponsored by the Riva del Garda local authority, the Riva del Garda Band and the Trentino Band Federation, and is supported by the Trentino Alto Adige Regional Government, the Autonomous Province of Trento, WASBE and CISM.
